The thrust area after pioneering reforms in power sector is implementation of closely monitored capacity addition programme to add 1525 MW in the state sector to bridge the Demand-Supply gap. In addition to this, generation projects of 4000 MW are under offing to private sector involving investments of Rs. 18000 Cr. through competitive bidding. The state is supportive to NES generation and attractive tariff package is given. There is no power cut on Industry in the state. Open access on transmission and distribution system is allowed to wheel power.
