The
Government of Rajasthan appreciates the need for efficient
infrastructure. It has therefore endeavoured to provide the right
blend of hard and soft infrastructure to create a complete working
and living habitat. There is also a continuing effort to further
strengthen the infrastructure base.
Rajasthan offers more then 300 industrial areas that provide a ready-to-use
base with supportive infrastructural facilities. Water availability
is being augmented in this land of the desert. Even the desert
districts in the Western Rajasthan have turned green from the water
brought in by the Indira Gandhi Nahar Project - one of the largest
irrigation systems in the World.
All parts of the State are well connected by rail and road. Rail and
road transport to the major cities of India connect all the
important towns of the State. Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur are air
linked to New Delhi, Mumbai,Kolkata and Ahmedabad. For movement of cargo,
there are Inland Container Depots at Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bhiwadi and Bhilwara |
